Position Summary In this role, you may serve as a charge nurse, staff nurse, or assessment cordinator—delivering nursing care and treatment to individuals with mental or physical injuries, illnesses, dysfunctional behaviors, or developmental disabilities at a Commonwealth facility.

Responsibilities include:

Directing and coordinating nursing care for patients or residents, often during evening or night shifts Supervising paraprofessional and non-professional nursing staff Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans Providing professional nursing care, specialty care (e.g., infection control), and participating in quality improvement activities Maintaining accurate documentation and following established nursing standards Nurses must demonstrate competency in a wide range of clinical skills, including but not limited to: airway management, IV therapy, medication administration, wound care, vital signs, emergency response, and use of electronic medical records.
