Job Description

Full-Time Senior Professional Staff Nurse, BSN - Outpatient Cath Lab | UPMC Hamot Join the team at UPMC Hamot's Outpatient Cardiac Catheterization Lab , where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care in a collaborative outpatient environment.
Schedule:
Four (4) 10-hour shifts per week 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Occasional coverage of later shifts based on outpatient procedural volumes Outpatient Lab operates Monday through Friday No weekends or holidays
Preferred Qualifications:

options!) About the Role The Senior Professional Staff Nurse (BSN) is a Registered Nurse and integral member of the care delivery team who helps set the standard for excellence in patient care. This role is responsible and accountable for the provision of nursing care through the application of advanced clinical judgment, leadership, collaboration, and professional expertise. Working closely with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families, the Senior Professional Staff Nurse promotes quality outcomes throughout the continuum of care while serving as a clinical resource, mentor, and leader. This position embodies UPMC's commitment to professional nursing practice, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement. Title and salary will be determined based upon education and nursing experience. Responsibilities Serve as a professional role model and recognized clinical leader through expertise, education, evidence-based practice, and specialty knowledge. Demonstrate advanced clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills to support safe, high-quality patient care. Utilize the nursing process and Relationship-Based Care principles to develop and implement individualized plans of care. Collaborate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Provide comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation that supports continuity of care. Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and exceptional patient experience initiatives. Precept and mentor students, graduate nurses, new hires, and peers while fostering a culture of continuous learning. Identify opportunities for clinical and operational improvement and participate in evidence-based practice initiatives. Support shared governance activities and serve on unit, departmental, and organizational committees as appropriate.
