The Professional Staff Nurse, BSN OR is a Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team. The Professional Staff Nurse, BSN OR is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. The Professional Staff Nurse, BSN OR has responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of nursing care. The Professional Staff Nurse, BSN OR manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members. The role of the Professional Staff Nurse, BSN OR encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration and supervision. The Professional Staff Nurse, BSN OR establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. The Professional Staff Nurse, BSN OR demonstrates a commitment to the community and to the nursing profession.

Responsibilities:

Patient advocate. Ability to circulate and scrub surgeries. Maintain sterile environment. Acquire knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation. Documentation of care provided to patient. Performs scrub role (requirement for RNs hired on or after July 1, 2023). •Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.•Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

Dayshift with no scheduled weekends or holidays, but will include weekday, weekend and holiday call.
