Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract Elevate your nursing career by taking on a rewarding role as a traveling Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care. This is a contract opportunity serving a dynamic surgical environment, providing crucial support to patients requiring cardiac and vascular surgical intervention. Your experience and clinical expertise will contribute greatly to a high-performing surgical team, ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes during complex procedures.
Schedule/Hours:
Travel assignment Full-time hours with possible variable shifts
Qualifications and Experience:
Active and unrestricted RN license Minimum of 2 years' recent CVOR nursing experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications Proven ability to work effectively in high-pressure surgical settings Strong knowledge of cardiac and vascular procedures, instruments, and patient monitoring Excellent communication and critical thinking skills Previous travel nursing experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain the CVOR for surgical procedures Collaborate closely with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and support staff Monitor patients preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols Accurately document patient information and surgical details Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families throughout the surgical process Respond swiftly to emergencies or surgical complications
