Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care across diverse settings, including acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, outpatient clinics, and community health environments. Your expertise will help ensure patients receive comprehensive, safe, and personalized treatment while supporting their recovery and well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team committed to excellence in healthcare delivery. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to inform care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication management. Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, ostomy care, and sterile processing to support patient recovery. Manage complex cases involving trauma medicine, ICU care, cardiac catheterization, dialysis, and infectious disease care with precision and compassion. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for documentation, order entry, and medical records management. Provide patient education on health coaching topics such as nutrition, medication adherence, pain management, and discharge planning. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in emergency medicine, trauma centers, neonatal units (NICU), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and hospice & palliative medicine settings to deliver coordinated care. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards while maintaining aseptic techniques during all procedures. Assist in triage assessments in urgent care or emergency room environments to prioritize patient needs effectively. Support patients with developmental disabilities or memory care needs by applying specialized approaches tailored to their conditions. Qualifications Valid nursing license (RN) in good standing with relevant state licensing boards. Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner or similar platforms. Experience working in diverse settings such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities or home & community care is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), CPT coding, and laboratory procedures. Strong skills in patient assessment, physical examinations, specimen collection/processing including phlebotomy and specimen handling. Ability to perform advanced procedures such as tube feeding management or ventilator support when necessary. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and with patients of all ages—including pediatrics and geriatrics. Certifications in basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and other relevant credentials are required. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring long-term management of chronic conditions is a plus.
