Job Description

Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care and support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities residing at a State residential long-term care facility for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The RN is responsible for assessing patient needs, administering medications and treatments, supervising direct care staff, and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment during the evening shift. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Deliver skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and facility policies. Administer medications, treatments, and medical procedures accurately and safely. Monitor residents' physical and emotional conditions and document changes appropriately. Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Supervise and support nursing assistants and direct care personnel during the shift. Maintain accurate medical records and complete required charting and reports. Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings. Ensure compliance with state regulations, infection control procedures, and safety standards. Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning as needed. Promote dignity, independence, and quality of life for residents. Qualifications Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a residential healthcare environment. Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in long-term care is preferred. #
PVDR Pay:
$43.00 - $46.00 per hour
