Job Description

Infectious Diseases Associates, P.C. seeks a licensed nurse with experience to join our diverse team of 9 board certified providers and a nurse practitioner. We have a long standing, private practice in the tri-county area, proudly serving the community since 1984. Our group is the on-staff Infectious Diseases physicians for 8 area hospitals in Northeast Philadelphia and Lower Bucks County. Additionally, we have a robust outpatient clinic. Our dedicated and highly trained physicians work closely with our hospitals to develop antimicrobial stewardship programs. Perform thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications via injection, IV infusion, catheterization, and other methods following aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Triaging outpatient IV antibiotics; following up on labs, phone calls Providing quality nursing care while implementing IDA's policies and procedures Conduct patient education on health coaching topics such as medication administration, wound care, pain management, and discharge planning. Maintain accurate medical documentation including ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, medication reconciliation and detailed case management records to ensure compliance and continuity of care. Perform other related duties as assigned Licensed to practice as a Nurse in the state of
PA BLS/CPR
certification Proven experience in diverse clinical environments Skills in advanced patient assessment techniques including vital signs monitoring and physiology knowledge. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is highly desirable. Competence in performing procedures such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing, laboratory specimen collection/processing and basic life support (BLS). Strong understanding of infection control practices and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and safety.
