Schedule/Hours:
8-hour shifts: Staff rotate through 0630-1500, 0900-1730, 1100-1930 40 hours per week Voluntary weekend coverage and call
Desired Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program (BSN preferred) Current RN licensure in Pennsylvania Minimum 2 years of prior Operating Room experience American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications, current and maintained every two years Strong teamwork, communication, and liaison skills Poised and adaptable demeanor with patients, families, and colleagues Solid knowledge of perioperative nursing (AORN standards) Willingness to participate in a 6-month in-house OR course if needed
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct ongoing patient assessment and develop plans of care in pre-op, intra-op, and post-op settings Adapt care plans to address evolving patient needs and surgical interventions Maintain sterile fields and surgical equipment readiness according to aseptic principles Apply perioperative nursing and surgical safety standards Communicate patient information and provide preoperative education to patients and families Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in perioperative nursing, technology, equipment, and best practices
