This is a permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) 9-month per year position with benefits. Hours vary, Monday through Friday. Hours assigned between 8am-6pm. Student Health Services is closed on university holidays. Student Health Services (SHS) mission is to provide personalized and accessible high-quality healthcare services and educational resources to support student success. Reporting to the Nurse Supervisor and working in a collaborative team environment, the Registered Nurse for Student Health Services provides primary health and reproductive nursing care for university students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to advocate for students and their well-being, implement advances in care practices, and collaborate with the healthcare team and other campus partners to support students and program outreach.
Responsibilities include:
Perform triage and initial assessments Provide care following protocols and standing orders Perform ordered procedures and point-of-care testing Prepare and maintain student records Communicate with students about appointments and labs Promote health and manage illness through education Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania Current CPR for Healthcare Provider certification Preferred Qualifications Experience in primary care of the primary care and/or acute settings Experience with young adult health Experience with women's health Certification in related specialty preferred Special Instructions The compensation package for this nine-month position includes an hourly rate of $31.16 and year-round benefits.
