Days | Flexible Schedule Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) contract opportunity. The RN will provide specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring safe recovery, pain management, and discharge readiness. This role serves patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric populations. Primary Responsibilities Perform comprehensive post-anesthesia patient assessments Evaluate patient conditions based on physical assessment, medical history, and anesthesia reports Develop and implement individualized patient care plans Maintain airway patency and monitor oxygen saturation levels Manage pain control and patient comfort using established protocols Monitor patient recovery and evaluate discharge readiness Provide detailed patient handoff reports to receiving care teams Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are functional and readily available Coordinate safe patient transport to appropriate care units Collaborate with physicians, nurses, patients, and families to support quality patient outcomes Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system Required Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program Licensure & Certifications Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Experience Minimum 2 years of nursing experience PACU experience preferred Critical Care / ICU experience strongly preferred Experience with Meditech EMR required Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation Preferred Skills Post-Anesthesia Recovery Care Critical Care Nursing Airway Management Pain Management Patient Assessment Discharge Planning Emergency Response Interdisciplinary Collaboration Clinical Documentation Meditech EMR Contact Information For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
