Summary of Essential Duties:

As a Clinical Nurse II you will perform a variety of direct patient care activities specific to the unit and needs of the peds patient population Perform patient assessments, triage patient concerns, provide clinical education to patients for pre-ops and other disease management education Manage anticoagulation, coordinate patient care, and maintain overall management of the ambulatory cardiac clinic with over 20 providers daily Obtain prior authorizations Triage phone calls from patients, pharmacies and other providers Identify the ability of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to follow direction/instructions, as well as safety concerns in the age-related populations Institute additional measures to provide a safe environment

Qualifications Qualifications:

Education:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program required BSN highly preferred

License/Certification:

Current, unrestricted California RN license required BLS and PALS from the American Heart Association required or

Red Cross Experience:

A minimum of 1 years of acute care nursing experience required At least 3 years of experience in a specialty area (procedure center, ambulatory clinic and/or cardiology) strongly preferred Excellent IV skills preferred Cedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
