We're seeking a Director of Nursing (RN) to serve as the clinical leader on our New Jersey license, ensuring compliance, guiding care standards, and helping us scale a model that puts humanity over bureaucracy. This is a unique opportunity for a nurse leader who wants to influence systems, not just manage them. Position Overview The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for clinical oversight, policy development, and care delivery standards for our NJ non-medical home care operations. This role is required for state compliance and will serve as the designated RN on the agency license, ensuring all services meet New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs regulations for Health Care Service Firms. You will partner directly with executive leadership to build a best-in-class care model that is scalable, compliant, and deeply human-centered. Key Responsibilities Clinical Oversight & Compliance Serve as the designated RN for state licensing requirements in New Jersey Ensure compliance with NJAC 13:45B (Health Care Service Firm regulations) Oversee clinical policies, procedures, and care standards Maintain readiness for state audits, inspections, and surveys Ensure all caregivers meet training and competency requirements Policy & Program Development Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures aligned with NJ regulations Establish care protocols that support non-medical home care delivery Continuously improve care models to enhance quality, safety, and client outcomes Care Delivery Oversight Provide clinical guidance for client care plans as needed Support care coordination teams in addressing client needs and escalations Ensure proper documentation practices and compliance standards Team Leadership & Support Act as a clinical resource for caregivers and internal team members Support onboarding and training of staff from a clinical perspective Foster a culture of accountability, compassion, and excellence Strategic Partnership Collaborate with executive leadership on growth, compliance, and operational strategy Help build scalable systems that support expansion while maintaining quality Provide insight into regulatory requirements as CCC grows into new markets Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey (required) Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (home care, community health, or leadership preferred) Experience with home care regulations or Health Care Service Firms strongly preferred Strong understanding of compliance, documentation, and policy development Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a growing organization Excellent communication and leadership skills What Makes This Role Different Let's be real, this isn't a "sit back and sign paperwork" DON role.
