Non-Exempt A Brief Overview The Rapid Response nurse is a critical care trained professional that responds to the bedside and offers advanced assessment skills, coaching and mentoring during rapid patient deterioration. The nurse is capable of instituting S.T.A.T. standing orders based on patient condition, facilitates communication between team members (physicians/providers), and assists with transfer to higher level of care as necessary. Must have strong critical thinking and assessment skills, refined communication skills and the ability to practice with a great deal of autonomy. Education Qualifications Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required Experience Qualifications 3 years Recent clinical experience as a RN in Adult Critical Care or Emergency Department. Required Skills and Abilities Trauma Nursing Core Course- Completion within 90 days of hire. (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse
- KSBN Required Acute/Critical Care Nursing (Adult)
- AACN
- Magnet Or other relevant certifications. Required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
- ACLS Required within 90 days of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- PALS Required within 1 year of hire.
