JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-centered Registered Nurse (RN) to join our multidisciplinary clinical team in Memphis. This role will serve as a key clinical navigator and frontline nursing resource supporting patients seeking HIV prevention, HIV treatment, STI services, and linkage to care. The RN will work closely with providers and clinical leadership to conduct patient assessments, provide education, coordinate care, and implement protocol-driven clinical services including rapid HIV treatment initiation, post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), and HIV prevention services. The ideal candidate is passionate about public health, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is committed to serving diverse and underserved populations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct patient assessments, including HIV/STI risk evaluations and exposure assessments. Follow established protocols to support initiation of HIV post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). Provide patient education regarding HIV prevention strategies, including PrEP, PEP, STI prevention, and risk reduction counseling. Complete initial nursing assessments and intake workflows for patients interested in HIV prevention services. Support rapid antiretroviral therapy (ART) initiation for patients newly diagnosed with HIV under provider guidance and established protocols. Administer prescribed medications, injections, and STI treatments. Collaborate closely with providers, case managers, social services staff, and community partners to ensure continuity of care. Assist with patient navigation and follow-up to improve retention in HIV prevention and treatment programs. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support quality improvement initiatives.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Current RN licensure in the state of Tennessee. Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience preferred. Experience in HIV care, STI management, infectious diseases, public health, sexual health, or community-based healthcare strongly preferred. Knowledge of HIV prevention strategies including PrEP and PEP preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and patient engagement skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse and marginalized populations. Comfortable working independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team environment. Passion for public health, health equity, and community-centered care.
