  • Summary of the
Job:
The Registered Nurse will use a virtual platform to support the bedside care team in the delivery of direct patient care. The virtual RN (VRN) is a leader in the provision of patient care utilizing the Nurse Process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standard of Practice and hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse also complies with hospital and nursing standards in the performance of job duties and responsibilities. The Registered Nurse will support the goals and objectives of the department and of the hospital.
Minimum Qualifications:
Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program. Current LA RN licensure. Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. Advance Life Support and Certification in clinical specialty area preferred. Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally. Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard. Strong interpersonal skills. Good organizational skills. Good time management skills and self-directed. Demonstrates good judgement.
Physical Demands:
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
