Job Description

Missisquoi Valley School District is seeking a dedicated and organized Registered Nurse to support our students and staff during the upcoming summer session. This is a collaborative role, perfect for an RN looking for a flexible summer schedule while providing essential care to our local school community.
Role Overview Duration:
June 24
  • July 24, 2026 (No program on July 4th).
Schedule:
2-3 days per week (Shared schedule with another RN), M-F.
Hours:
7.5 hours per day | 8:00 AM
  • 3:00 PM.
Compensation:
Up to $50.00 per hour (based on experience).
Primary Base:
Swanton (Swanton Elementary & Missisquoi Valley Union).
Coverage Area:
Primary on-site presence in Swanton with triage support and occasional travel to Highgate Elementary and Franklin Central.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Care & Triage:
Provide on-site nursing care and first aid for students and staff in Swanton. Act as the triage contact for Highgate Elementary and Franklin Central, providing phone consultations and visiting those sites when necessary.
Collaborative Scheduling:
Work alongside a partner RN and the Program Director to coordinate a balanced weekly schedule.
Team Integration:
Collaborate with Site Coordinators at all locations to manage student health needs and emergency protocols.
Compliance:
Maintain accurate records and adhere to all regulations outlined by the Missisquoi Valley School District and the 21C Grant handbooks.
Qualifications & Support Licensure:
Valid Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
