Location:
Greater Charlotte Metro Area (Office hub centrally located in South Concord / North Mecklenburg County . Field-based clinical travel across Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union, Gaston, and Iredell counties).
Job Type:
Part-Time / PRN (Transitioning from Stipend to Hourly)
Compensation:
Monthly retention stipend during licensing, transitioning to $40.00•50.00/hour once operational + Mileage & Travel Compensation.
About Us:
We are a premium, newly launching in-home care agency specializing in advanced Alzheimer's and dementia care for seniors across the greater Charlotte metropolitan area. Our mission is to provide specialized, compassionate cognitive support that allows individuals with progressive memory loss to age safely in their own homes. We are seeking an experienced, compliance-minded Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for memory care to serve as our Supervising Nurse and Clinical Director.
Position Overview:
As our Supervising Nurse, your license will be submitted with our initial North Carolina DHSR home care application. During the state approval window (typically 3-6 months), you will receive a fixed monthly retainer fee with zero daily operational duties. Once our agency license is approved and active, you will transition to a flexible, as-needed hourly schedule to oversee clinical compliance, build customized cognitive care plans, and train/evaluate our specialized care aides from our central South Concord hub.
Core Responsibilities:
Licensing Phase:
Review and approve the clinical and cognitive care components of the agency's policies and procedures manual; sign necessary state credentialing documents.
Operational Phase:
Travel across our five-county service footprint (Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union, Gaston, and Iredell) to conduct comprehensive in-home cognitive and physical assessments for new memory care clients.
Staff Oversight:
Administer hands-on clinical competency evaluations for in-home aides, ensuring they are fully trained in dementia safety, wandering prevention, and redirection techniques.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct mandatory 90-day supervisory client visits and audit clinical charts to ensure strict compliance with North Carolina 10A
NCAC 13J
rules.
Required Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Carolina (or compact state). Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a strong clinical background in Memory Care, Assisted Living, Home Health, or Geriatric Psychology. Proven experience developing care strategies for Alzheimer's, dementia, and progressive cognitive decline. Strong knowledge of North Carolina DHSR Home Care Licensure Rules (10A
NCAC 13J
) is highly preferred. Must possess a reliable, insured personal vehicle and a clean driving record to navigate the multi-county territory. Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
Pay:
$40.00•$50.00 per hour
