UW Specialty Clinic Registered Nurse Oncology

Richland Hospital & Clinics has a full-time, benefit-eligible position available for a dedicated Registered Nurse in our Oncology to work in our UW Specialty Outreach Clinic. This position is a 0.8-0.9 FTE role. Clinic hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. when working on-site, with flexible scheduling options designed to support work‑life balance and clinic operations. Occasional remote work may be available based on clinic needs. Clinic Oncology Nurse - Position Summary The Clinic Oncology Nurse plays a key role in supporting oncology patients throughout their care journey. This position is responsible for managing oncology intake calls, collaborating closely with physicians and the broader care team, providing patient support, and coordinating care across services. The nurse will serve as a knowledgeable liaison for oncology needs within the clinic. Responsibilities also include conducting pre‑visit planning for all oncology patients and coordinating care for UW oncology patients receiving treatment locally. Qualifications The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited school of nursing; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred but not required. Candidates must have at least six months of RN experience. Preference will be given to applicants with inpatient, ambulatory, oncology, or chemotherapy experience. Additional qualifications include BLS/CPR certification. The successful candidate communicates effectively in both verbal and written formats, demonstrates initiative in acquiring new skills essential to the role, and works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Occasional planned outreach coverage and training may require travel.
