Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students' health and well-being for a summer session. With a schedule of 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, you'll make a meaningful impact while enjoying your afternoons free. This role runs from July 7th through August 7th, perfectly suited for those seeking short-term summer work or wishing to supplement their experience in school nursing.
What We're Looking For:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Rhode Island Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric care preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills for supporting students, staff, and families Capability to manage a variety of typical school nurse responsibilities, including first aid, medication administration, and health screenings Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Providing direct care for students, including daily medications, monitoring chronic health conditions, and treatment of illnesses or injuries Documenting all student visits and treatments in accordance with school policies Communicating with parents/guardians and staff about student health concerns as needed Working collaboratively with educators and administration to promote student safety and wellness Serving as a health resource and advocate within the school community This role allows you to contribute to a safe, healthy environment for students during a focused summer program.
