Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Contract Advance your career in perioperative care by providing expert support and monitoring to patients recovering from anesthesia in a fast-paced PACU environment. Healthcare professionals with experience as an RN in the post-anesthesia care unit will find this role both rewarding and impactful, as you play a critical part in the patient recovery process.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Valid and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license At least one year of recent clinical experience in a PACU setting Current BLS and ACLS certifications Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia nursing protocols and best practices Excellent critical thinking, communication, and assessment skills Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care under pressure Proficient in monitoring vital signs, managing airways, and recognizing complications
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures and anesthesia Monitor patient vitals, manage pain and nausea, and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other multidisciplinary team members Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery expectations Accurately document all care activities, assessments, and interventions Adhere to all safety, privacy, and infection control protocols
