In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing urgent and emergent health conditions within a fast-paced emergency department. Your expertise will ensure timely assessment, intervention, and management of a diverse patient population, including individuals with complex medical needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and protocols. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Prioritize and triage incoming patients based on severity of condition, utilizing established triage protocols to ensure prompt attention for critical cases. Administer medications and injections, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments when applicable, following aseptic techniques and safety guidelines. Manage airway obstructions, ventilator support, and acute pain through appropriate interventions while maintaining patient safety. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory testing, imaging (e.g., CT scans), and specialized procedures like catheterization or suturing. Provide emergency interventions including airway management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and trauma care in Level I or Level II trauma center settings. Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care to promote recovery and health maintenance. Support infection control practices to prevent hospital-acquired infections and ensure adherence to CDC guidelines. Assist in the training of new staff members on emergency procedures, medical documentation standards, and departmental protocols.

5+ years current ER experience•[
