Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a unique, rewarding opportunity supporting a high school student for the 2026-2027 academic year. This 1:1 position is perfect for a compassionate RN who values meaningful connections, tailored care, and the chance to make a measurable difference in a young person's life. You'll work approximately 30 hours per week, accompanying and providing care for a student who is paralyzed but cognitively high functioning. Your expertise will help support the student's independence and participation in school life. This contract role requires bus riding and close collaboration with educational staff and the student's family. Plus, you'll benefit from Wednesdays off, aligning with the student's schedule.
Qualifications:
Active RN license Previous pediatric or school nursing experience preferred Ability to provide 1:1 care and monitor health needs Comfortable assisting with mobility, positioning, and health-related tasks Adept at supporting students in both classroom and transportation settings Effective communicator, able to liaise with teachers, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
Deliver skilled nursing care during school hours and on the bus route Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Monitor and document the student's well-being throughout the day Collaborate with educators and family to ensure a safe, supportive environment Promote student engagement and advocate for their needs
