Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled RN with experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing. Utilize your expertise in surgical patient care in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with an outstanding surgical team to deliver critical support before, during, and after cardiovascular procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active and unencumbered RN license. Minimum of 1 year of recent CVOR nursing experience. BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid). Strong understanding of CVOR protocols, patient safety, and sterile technique. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt quickly in high-pressure environments and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position (specific duration to be discussed with successful candidates). Schedule may include rotating shifts, including some nights, weekends, or holidays depending on surgical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for cardiovascular procedures. Provide direct patient care during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. Monitor vital signs, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate patient status to the surgical team. Support surgeons by circulating and/or scrubbing as required in CVOR cases. Anticipate needs of patients and surgical team to ensure smooth operations and optimal patient outcomes. Uphold infection control, safety practices, and confidentiality standards at all times.
