Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a Registered Nurse to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a high school student for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers the unique chance to provide 1:1 care and make a meaningful difference in a student's daily life and educational journey. You'll work 30 hours per week, accompanying the student throughout their school day and during transportation by bus. The student is paralyzed but highly cognitive and engaged with their learning and environment. Your clinical skills and compassionate presence will help ensure safety, promote independence, and support full participation in school activities. Wednesdays are always off, as the student does not attend school on that day, allowing a consistent break in your weekly schedule.
Qualifications and Skills:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required Experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred Ability to provide personalized, compassionate care for students with physical disabilities Comfortable with 1:1 assignments and working independently Willingness and ability to ride the school bus as part of the daily routine Strong communication skills for engaging with the student, family, and school staff
Key Responsibilities:
Attend to the student's healthcare needs throughout the school day and bus rides Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Monitor health status and respond to emergencies promptly Collaborate with the educational team to support the student's well-being Maintain accurate and thorough documentation
