Learn more on our website - www.forumhealth.com Job Summary The IV Nurse is responsible for providing safe, professional, and patient-centered intravenous therapy services in a functional medicine setting. This role supports patients receiving IV nutrient therapy, hydration therapy, vitamin infusions, injection therapies, and other wellness-based treatments as ordered by the provider. The IV Nurse must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent IV skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Responsibilities Administer IV therapies, vitamin infusions, hydration treatments, injections, and related services according to provider orders and office protocols. Assess patients before, during, and after treatment, including reviewing health history, allergies, current symptoms, contraindications, and vital signs as appropriate. Start and monitor peripheral IV lines using proper technique, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols. Prepare IV bags, nutrients, medications, and supplies in accordance with office policy, provider orders, and applicable clinical standards. Monitor patients throughout treatment for comfort, response to therapy, adverse reactions, infiltration, or other complications. Document all treatments accurately in the medical record, including medication/nutrient details, lot numbers when required, IV site, patient response, and follow-up notes. Educate patients on treatment expectations, possible side effects, hydration, post-treatment care, and when to contact the office. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant IV therapy area, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal of medical supplies and sharps. Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and medication safety guidelines. Collaborate with providers and clinical team members to ensure personalized, high-quality care. Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, checking expiration dates, and maintaining emergency equipment. Support other clinical services as needed, which may include lab draws, injections, vitals, patient intake, or wellness program support. Strong IV insertion and phlebotomy skills required. Experience with IV nutrient therapy, functional medicine, wellness medicine, integrative medicine, or med spa services preferred. BLS certification required; ACLS preferred depending on office protocols. Knowledge of sterile technique, infection control, medication safety, and emergency response procedures. Comfortable working in a patient-centered, wellness-focused environment. Compensation & Benefits Salary:
The annual base salary range for this position is $50.00 hourly. Salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and or licensures.
