Job Description

Full Time, 1st Shift, 8:00-4:30pm, Monday-Friday •This position will be in the Ready for Surgery Department at Tower Point•The Preoperative Phone Screening RN is responsible for conducting telephone-based preoperative assessments to ensure patients are prepared for their scheduled surgical procedures. This role involves reviewing medical histories, identifying potential risks, providing preoperative instructions, and communicating critical findings to the Ready for Surgery team. The LPN works closely with registered nurses (RNs) and other healthcare providers to facilitate a smooth and safe surgical experience for patients. Participates in any other job related duties directed by the Practice Manager or Director. Special Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience (experience in preoperative care, surgical, or outpatient care setting preferred). BLS certified and basic computer skills. Strong understanding of preoperative processes and surgical workflows. Proficiency in using electronic health records (RHR/EMR).
