Job Description

What We Offer:
As a Registered Nurse, you will serve as a leader within a collaborative healthcare team, building authentic and personalized relationships with patients and their chosen support systems. You will partner with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful end of life. This role offers the opportunity to combine clinical excellence with compassion, using the best available scientific evidence to guide patients through their health journey while maintaining responsibility, authority, and accountability for the delivery of care in alignment with established policies and procedures. About the
Role:
This is a dynamic, multi-specialty nursing position supporting both surgical and endoscopy services. The RN will provide care across pre-operative and post-operative settings, with the opportunity to cross-train in endoscopy and infusion. This fast-paced environment focuses on efficient, same-day care, with approximately 15-20 patients seen daily across the department. Nurses work collaboratively as a team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative experience.
What We're Looking For:
Education :
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required 4 Year / Bachelors Degree preferred If RN nursing license has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course
Experience:
One year relevant experience preferred Refer to the Life Support Training Policy

Licensure/Certification:
Current RN licensure in appropriate state required Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.

What You'll Do:
Serve as a leader of the healthcare team by establishing an authentic, personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system Collaborate with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care Utilize best scientific evidence and compassion to assist patients in navigating their health journey Accept responsibility, authority, and accountability for the management and provision of care in accordance with current policies and procedures
Core Responsibilities Include:
Assessment:
Demonstrates refined assessment skills to collaboratively discover the patient's story, integrating subjective data, objective data, physical picture, psychosocial components, personal preferences and norms, and learning needs and preferences. Utilizes an ongoing process to interpret data and recognize patterns and trends to determine immediate and future care needs.
Planning:
Dialogues with the patient and support system to identify priorities and incorporate preferences into care plans. Engages interdisciplinary teams, identifies resources, establishes goals, and prioritizes interventions. Continuously modifies plans based on patient condition and needs.
Implementation of Interdisciplinary Plan of Care:
Advocates for patients while implementing care plans. Collaborates with healthcare teams, educates patients and support systems, and ensures completion of interventions and therapies. Performs nursing duties including medication administration, IV starts, dressing changes, patient transport, and emergency response such as CPR.
Evaluation:
Continuously assesses patient progress, gathers input from patients and support systems, and modifies care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
Communication and Documentation:
Communicates care plans and progress using tools such as SBARQ and documents information in a timely manner.
Delegation:
Delegates appropriately while ensuring patient safety and accountability for care delivery.
Performance Accountability/Evidence-Based Practice:
Practices according to Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and ANA Bill of Rights. Engages in shared governance, process improvement, and professional development. Maintains a professional portfolio and integrates evidence-based practice.
Teamwork:
Builds positive relationships, supports team needs, mentors others, resolves conflicts, and responds constructively to feedback
