Job Description

Category Perfusionist Job Type Contract Advance your career with an opportunity dedicated to excellence in patient care as a Perfusionist. As a vital contributor in the operating room, you will support life-saving procedures by operating the heart-lung machine during cardiac surgeries. Your expertise ensures optimal patient outcomes and smooth surgical processes.
Key Qualifications:
Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) or eligible for certification Excellent knowledge of perfusion technology, equipment, and protocols Proven experience supporting open-heart procedures Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary team Commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and infection control
Primary Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor heart-lung machines and related equipment during surgeries Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to provide seamless patient care Maintain constant assessment of patient vital signs and respond as needed to changing conditions Prepare equipment and verify readiness prior to procedures, conducting routine checks and calibrations Maintain accurate, detailed records of perfusion activities throughout procedures Adhere to strict protocols for infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the surgical team This is a contract position, ideal for professionals seeking a focused assignment in a clinical environment that values innovation and precision.
