Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic surgical environment where your specialized expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing makes a real impact during critical moments. As a CVOR RN, you'll work collaboratively with surgeons and the perioperative team to provide exceptional patient care throughout the cardiac surgical process. Key responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing on cardiovascular cases, monitoring patient responses, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and sterility within the OR. Your clinical judgment and ability to thrive under pressure are essential as you support complex cardiac interventions and patient recovery.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time contract Schedule details to be provided during interview (flexibility may be required to meet surgical needs)
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current and unrestricted RN license Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience BLS and ACLS certifications required Proficient in circulating and scrubbing for cardiovascular surgeries Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong critical thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Core Responsibilities:
Assist with preoperative preparation and assessment of cardiac surgical patients Provide direct care during all phases of the cardiovascular surgical procedure Maintain strict sterile technique and infection control Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff Accurately document patient care and progress Respond quickly to emergent situations and implement life-saving interventions as needed
