1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Mohs Surgery RN for an outpatient surgery position requiring a SC or Compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Details Outpatient clinic setting specializing in Mohs Surgery Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00a-5:30p No weekend requirements No on-call responsibilities No floating required — assignment is Mohs Surgery unit only Charting via Epic Free on-site parking available Requirements Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have an active license prior to start Current BLS certification required (AHA-issued only) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required BSN preferred; ADN accepted SSN and valid Driver's License required for consideration 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Preferred experience includes: First Assist, Circulator, suturing, suture removal, cautery, laser safety, smoke evacuation, dermatology, Mohs Surgery, ENT, ambulatory procedures, head and neck surgery, skin grafts, and administration of local anesthesia via injection Additional Information Responsibilities include recording patient histories, administering medications, developing patient care plans, assisting physicians during procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment, and documenting patient progress in medical records Patient and family education on conditions, medications, and self-care is a key part of this role Completion of orientation modules is required prior to start date Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates (within 60 miles) may be considered on a case-by-case basis Previous permanent or PRN staff of the MUSC system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs First-time travelers are welcome to apply Royal blue scrubs required During hurricane season (June-November), all staff including travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
