1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at an acute care hospital in Orangeburg, SC, requiring telemetry competency and a minimum of 2 years of experience. Details Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45a-7:15p) Patient ratio of 1:5-6 Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Floating within scope to like units or sister facilities may be required 286-bed acute care hospital setting Level III Trauma Center Charting via Epic EMR Free parking on-site Requirements Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may still be considered Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Telemetry competency required Previous charge nurse experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred SSN and Driver's License required for consideration 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are accepted for this position Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs Pre-assignment online modules are required to be completed before the start date Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak hurricane months are August and September Royal blue scrubs are required
