Dean for the School of Nursing and Allied Health
JOB SUMMARY
The Division of Academic Affairs at Clinton College invites applications to fill the position of Dean for the School of Nursing and Allied Health. The Dean provides visionary, strategic, and operational leadership for nursing and allied health programs, ensuring academic excellence, accreditation compliance, strong student outcomes, and program growth aligned with workforce needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Program Development Provide leadership aligned with the College strategic plan Lead development and expansion of academic programs Identify healthcare workforce trends Establish goals to enhance program quality and enrollment Academic Affairs & Program Oversight Ensure academic rigor and integrity Oversee curriculum development and accreditation alignment Supervise faculty and academic leaders Promote innovative teaching and simulation practices Accreditation, Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure compliance with accrediting bodies Lead accreditation efforts and reporting Monitor outcomes such as licensure pass rates Maintain documentation for continuous improvement Faculty Leadership & Development Recruit, develop, and retain faculty Foster collaborative academic culture Support professional development Student Success & Enrollment Growth Support recruitment, retention, and graduation Improve licensure and certification outcomes Collaborate on enrollment strategies Partnerships & Workforce Engagement Build partnerships with healthcare organizations Expand clinical opportunities Align programs with workforce needs Administrative & Fiscal Management Manage budget and resources Oversee facilities and operations Prepare institutional reports Institutional Leadership & Service Participate in institutional governance Support accreditation and effectiveness initiatives
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Earned doctorate (PhD, DNP, EdD, or related) RN license or eligibility in South Carolina 5-7 years leadership experience
Preferred:
Experience leading nursing programs Proven student success outcomes
