RN DIALYSIS

Shift:

8-hour Days 40 hours/week (5

• 8) 13-week assignment Administer dialysis treatments accurately and efficiently while monitoring patient responses throughout the procedure.

Assess patient conditions before, during, and after dialysis sessions, adjusting care plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies. Educate patients about their treatment plans, including procedures, potential side effects, and post-treatment care instructions. Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Ensure all medical records are properly maintained and updated in accordance with legal and organizational standards. Uphold strict adherence to safety protocols, infection control procedures, and confidentiality requirements related to medical records and patient information. Provide emotional support to patients and their families, fostering a caring environment that promotes trust and comfort. Experience Proven experience as a Registered Nurse with a focus on dialysis or nephrology nursing preferred. Strong knowledge of physiology related to renal functions and the mechanics of dialysis treatment. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and the use of medical documentation systems. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations governing patient privacy and confidentiality. Experience in managing medical records accurately within a clinical setting. Excellent patient care skills combined with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Certification in nephrology nursing or dialysis nursing (such as CRNI or CCHT) is advantageous but not mandatory.
