On-site, safety-sensitive healthcare setting Position Overview A rural acute-care healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, emotionally demanding environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. Minimum Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state Strong clinical, assessment, and documentation skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow efficiently Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Commitment to patient-centered and restorative care Effective verbal and written communication skills Basic math proficiency for medication administration and documentation Ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and team members Strict adherence to patient confidentiality and privacy regulations (HIPAA compliance required) Essential Duties & Responsibilities Accurately and promptly document patient care and charting Perform comprehensive nursing assessments each shift for acute and swing-bed patients, and ongoing assessments for emergency patients Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary communication Transcribe and implement provider orders accurately Administer medications and treatments safely within required timeframes Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing assistants and support staff Assist with onboarding and training of new staff Support staffing needs and collaborate with team members Attend required staff meetings and maintain compliance with organizational policies Professional Expectations Maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to dress code Complete required training and continuing education on time Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance Wear proper identification while on duty Foster a positive and collaborative work environment Uphold ethical standards and organizational policies Participate in safety, emergency preparedness, and infection control initiatives Represent the organization in a professional and positive manner Physical Requirements Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Ability to lift and assist with moving patients (up to 75 lbs with assistance as needed) Continuous use of fine motor skills for clinical tasks Frequent pushing (e.g., wheelchairs, equipment) Benefits Summary For All Employees Paid Time Off (PTO): Includes vacation, sick leave, and holidays (accrual-based) For Eligible Employees (based on hours worked) Retirement plan with employer match Health insurance (employee coverage provided; dependent coverage available) Vision and dental plan options Employer-paid basic life insurance (full-time employees) Optional supplemental insurance plans Employee wellness programs and assistance programs Additional voluntary benefits and employee perks Equal Opportunity Statement This organization is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
