MDS Nurse Sun Dial Manor Bristol, SD Posted/Updated:
Today Job Description Sun Dial Manor is seeking an MDS nurse to conduct and coordinate the development and completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), that is, the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Care Area Assessments (CAAs) and Care Plan in accordance with State and Federal requirements
  • Participates as part of the Nursing Center Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) for Medicare management as assigned
  • Coordinate the IDT in timely completion of the assessments
  • Utilize MDS Scheduler to plan and set MDS Assessment Reference Dates (ARDs)
  • Communicate ARD selection for specific MDSs to IDT
  • Complete care plan items relevant to current MDS and attend care plan meetings as assigned
  • Monitor the overall documentation in the medical record to validate that it supports MDS coding This MDS responsibilities are part-time but the position combines with on-floor RN hours for a full-time position.

Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota. One year of responsible nursing experience, preferably in long-term care facility. Excellent management skills or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing to complete required nursing department documentation. Respect the principles of resident rights, confidentiality, EEO and ADA.
