Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse, where your expertise and compassionate care will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across diverse clinical settings, including acute care, outpatient clinics, long-term care, and specialized units such as ICU, emergency room, and pediatrics. We are seeking energetic and dedicated nursing professionals committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care while adhering to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism. As a vital member of our team, you'll utilize your broad skill set to support patient recovery, education, and well-being in a fast-paced environment that values innovation and teamwork. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine immediate needs and ongoing care plans. Administer medications via various routes such as injections, IV infusions, and catheterizations while monitoring for adverse reactions and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed. Provide specialized care in areas like critical care units (ICU), emergency medicine, trauma centers, pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (including memory care), hospice & palliative medicine, and behavioral health settings. Manage complex procedures such as suturing, tube feeding management, wound care including ostomy care, and diagnostic evaluations like sonography or gastric lavage. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and case management. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge planning strategies, coordinate home & community care services, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support infection control protocols through specimen collection/processing, laboratory experience, and adherence to CDC guidelines for infectious disease care. Qualifications Valid nursing license with current registration in the applicable state or region. Proven experience in diverse clinical environments including hospital medicine, medical-surgical units, ICU (Level I/II Trauma Center experience preferred), emergency room (ER) experience required. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and pharmacology principles. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; proficiency in medical documentation is essential. Critical care experience including ventilator management and acute pain management is highly desirable. Ability to perform advanced procedures such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, and working with specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or neonatal ventilators. Excellent patient assessment skills coupled with the ability to work effectively with individuals across age groups—including pediatrics (including toddler & neonatal care), geriatrics (including dementia & Alzheimer's care), and patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law related to occupational health cases; familiarity with trauma medicine and post-acute care settings is a plus. Join us in providing compassionate nursing care that transforms lives! We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where your skills are valued and your professional growth is supported through ongoing education and collaboration. This paid position offers a rewarding career path for those eager to make a positive impact every day through exceptional patient service.
