Sioux Falls, SD Job Details Contract $30 - $60 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification RN License BLS Certification Healthcare infection prevention and control expertise First Aid Certification Organizational skills Full Job Description Position Summary Abilities Arc LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and skilled PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing oversight and support services to individuals receiving Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS). The PRN RN will assist with health assessments, medication management, staff training, health monitoring, and coordination of medical services to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, person-centered practices, and a commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities and vulnerable adults in achieving their highest level of independence and quality of life. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments and ongoing health evaluations for individuals receiving services. Review, monitor, and update medical records, physician orders, and medication administration records (MARs). Provide oversight and guidance related to medication administration and health-related supports. Monitor individuals' health conditions and report significant changes to physicians, guardians, case managers, and agency leadership as appropriate. Coordinate medical appointments, follow-up care, and health-related services. Assist with development and implementation of individualized care plans and nursing recommendations. Provide training and competency validation for direct support staff on medication administration, infection control, emergency procedures, and health-related supports. Ensure compliance with state regulations, HCBS requirements, agency policies, and nursing standards. Participate in incident reviews, investigations, and corrective action planning related to health and safety concerns. Respond to medical emergencies and provide clinical guidance as needed. Maintain confidentiality of all participant and organizational information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including guardians, case managers, physicians, therapists, and support staff. Complete documentation accurately and within required timelines. Assist with quality assurance and quality improvement activities related to nursing services. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the applicable state. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health conditions, aging populations, or HCBS services preferred. Strong knowledge of medication administration, infection prevention, and health monitoring. Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment. Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance may be required. Preferred Certifications Current CPR and First Aid certification. Medication Administration training preferred. Any additional state-required training for HCBS or waiver services.
Pay:
$30.00 - $60.00 per hour
