Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide expert patient care across diverse clinical settings, including acute care, emergency medicine, and specialized outpatient services. Duties Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across various departments such as ICU, emergency room, medical-surgical units, and outpatient clinics. Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine immediate needs. Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques while monitoring for adverse reactions. Manage airway procedures, ventilator support, IV infusions, catheterizations, and tube feeding with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Respond promptly to emergency situations using ACLS protocols; lead resuscitation efforts and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams during trauma or cardiac events. Document all patient interactions thoroughly within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner; ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and ICD coding requirements. Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing, sonography, and basic laboratory testing to support clinical decision-making. Qualifications Valid RN license with current ACLS certification; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. Demonstrated experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; proficient in medical documentation and coding (ICD-10/ICD-9). Knowledge of advanced nursing procedures including suturing, venipuncture, phlebotomy, sterile processing, and infection control practices. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, memory care patients, and those requiring hospice or palliative care. Strong understanding of physiology knowledge, patient assessment techniques, trauma medicine protocols, acute pain management strategies, and occupational health standards. Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, case management coordination, discharge planning, health coaching, and family education.
