Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse Infusion is responsible for providing professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process within an assigned unit; assesses, treats and care for patients demonstrating an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Oversees the work of other professional and non-professional personnel.
Education:
Associates or Bachelors of Nursing required
Certification/Licensures:
Registered Nurse required
Experience:
1 to 3 years preferred. Cancer Center Oncology certification preferred (RN Only) Two years experience in acute care nursing with minimum one year experience in oncology preferred. Knowledge of oncology treatments and side effect management preferred. BLS within 3 months of hire. Daily use of a non-waived analytical instrument (CBC Analyzer). Testing personnel must meet the regulatory requirements for assessment of competency within 3 years of hire. Medical Oncology RN only - ONS/ONCC Immunotherapy/Chemotherapy Certification Course required within 1 year of hire. Medical Oncology
