CVOR Registered Nurse - Franklin, Tennessee

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract Experienced registered nurses are needed to support a high-acuity Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team delivering complex adult cardiac surgical care in a large, dynamic hospital setting. This contract opportunity involves working with a broad spectrum of procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, heart failure interventions, ECMO, VAD, transplants, and cardiac trauma. The facility boasts over 1,000 beds, 56 OR suites (inpatient/outpatient), five procedural rooms, and is a Level 1 trauma center.

Schedule:

12-hour shifts: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Days scheduled vary based on CVOR needs (no block scheduling) Call coverage mandatory for all travelers (three tiers of call, 24/7; specific requirements update every six weeks) New staff orientation dates: 6/1, 6/22, and 6/29 (No orientation during the weeks of 6/8 or 6/15)

Qualifications:

Active RN license, with specialty skills in Cardiovascular OR Minimum 2 years' experience in a CVOR environment Prior travel nursing experience is essential Ability to both scrub and circulate for adult cardiac surgeries is required Familiarity with procedures for complex cardiac cases (CABG, valve, VAD, ECMO, heart/lung transplant) Willingness to take all required call shifts; flexibility to float within the main OR as needed Experience with adult patient populations (no pediatric cases in this role)
