Job Description
Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract A unique opportunity is available for an experienced Operating Room RN to contribute specialized skills on the thoracic/vascular surgical team in a fast-paced, renowned healthcare setting. This contract role supports a high-volume, Level 1 trauma operating department and will cover a broad array of complex surgical cases. Candidates with proven thoracic and vascular expertise are required for this advanced, multi-disciplinary environment.
Schedule:
12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Days worked will vary by unit needs; block scheduling is not available Late stays as needed for thoracic/vascular casesDesired Skills & Credentials:
Current TN or compact RN license (must be active and on file at submission) National certification relevant to the Operating Room (must be active and on file at submission) Minimum of 2 years dedicated experience in the OR Prior experience as a traveler is essential Verified experience with thoracic and vascular procedures Proficiency in both circulating and scrubbing endovascular cases Experience working in transplant, trauma, and complex multidisciplinary surgical environments Ability to work in a large team setting (56-bed OR, including input and outpatient and five procedural areas) Flexibility to float within the OR as needed (will not float to outside locations) Experienced with adult populations; no pediatric responsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
Provide professional perioperative care for thoracic and vascular cases Circulate and scrub complex endovascular and transplant procedures Adapt to a wide mix of surgical specialties, including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiac, robotic, and transplant Respond effectively as part of a Level 1 trauma center Ensure compliance with all safety and clinical protocols Elevate your professional experience by contributing vital expertise to this highly specialized OR team.
