Job Description

Job Title:
Pediatric Nurse (LPN/RN/Medical Assistant)
Location:
Pediatric Associates of Franklin Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Pediatric Nurse to join our team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality clinical support, ensuring accurate patient assessments, and delivering safe, efficient care in a fast-paced pediatric environment. The ideal candidate will have prior pediatric experience and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Experience with Athena EHR is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Obtain and document accurate patient measurements and vital signs Perform thorough patient intake, including current symptoms and chief complaints Update and maintain patient medical records, including medications, allergies, surgical history, and hospitalization history Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper cleaning and sanitization between patients Assist providers with clinical procedures, including: Nebulizer and MDI treatments Catheterizations Suture removal Accurately administer and document oral, inhaled, and injectable medications per provider orders Properly prepare immunizations using aseptic technique Administer vaccines according to provider orders and established immunization guidelines Assist with phone triage, document patient calls in the EHR, and return calls as appropriate Monitor provider voicemails and ensure timely follow-up Coordinate patient referrals and obtain prior authorizations as needed Collaborate with providers and fellow nursing staff to manage complex or high-acuity situations Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and documentation requirements
Qualifications:
Current LPN, RN, or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) Previous pediatric experience preferred (strongly desired) Experience with Athena EHR is a plus Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:
Fast-paced outpatient pediatric practice requiring teamwork, flexibility, and a patient-focused approach.
Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
