1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Behavioral Health Adult Unit position in Gallatin, TN, requiring at least 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience and active TN or compact RN licensure. Details Night shift position with hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM 13-week travel contract Inpatient Behavioral Health Adult Unit at a 167-bed Level III Trauma Center 12-bed unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio Common diagnoses include Alzheimer's disease, behavioral disturbance, failure to thrive, depression, and suicidal ideation EMR system: Meditech Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday) May float to Med/Surg as needed No on-call requirements Requirements Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or compact) required Current AHA certifications required: BLS and Handle With Care (HWC) Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience required Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment Additional Information Provide behavioral health nursing care to adult psychiatric patients Geriatric psychiatric experience and medical floor experience are preferred Must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start Orientation is held weekly on Mondays Scrubs of any color are acceptable Team-oriented personality is preferred for this unit
