They administer prescribed medications, including injections and intravenous medications, and monitor for any adverse reactions.Resident Care Planning:
RNs develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.Documentation:
They maintain accurate and detailed resident records, including medical histories, symptoms, and treatment plans.Patient Education:
RNs educate residents and their families about illnesses, treatments, medications, and preventative care, as well as assisting with discharge planning and process.Collaboration:
They collaborate with providers , specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.Patient Assessment:
RNs conduct physical exams, assess vital signs, monitor resident conditions, and evaluate mental status.Specific Tasks and Activities:
Monitoring and Reporting:
RNs monitor resident's conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.Wound Care:
They provide wound care, including dressing changes and managing skin integrity. Assisting withProcedures:
RNs assist with various medical procedures, such as inserting catheters, drawing blood, IV therapy. Following lab progress and documenting accordingly.Equipment Management:
