MUST HAVE 2 YEARS OF BEDSIDE
Day shift 12-hour shifts 6:45a-7:15p This is an ED position - nurses may be used in Acute Care setting Call Brandi @ 865-692-8950 We are urgently seeking dedicated and highly skilled Acute Care Nurses to join our healthcare team. These vital roles require professionals with a strong foundation in critical and emergency medicine, capable of providing comprehensive patient care across diverse clinical settings. The ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment, proficiency in advanced nursing procedures, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care in fast-paced environments. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses eager to make an immediate impact in acute care settings, including hospitals, emergency rooms, intensive care units, and trauma centers. Duties Provide direct patient care in acute care environments, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing complex medical conditions. Perform advanced procedures such as IV insertion, suturing, airway management, and catheterization with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and clinical protocols. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations, to inform treatment strategies. Manage acute pain and facilitate recovery through effective pain management techniques and supportive interventions. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with triage processes in emergency settings, prioritizing patient care based on severity and urgency of medical conditions. Support patients with complex needs such as those requiring dialysis, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health interventions. Requirements Valid nursing license with current registration; experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems including Cerner or Athenahealth for accurate documentation. Extensive clinical experience in acute care environments including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or surgical units. Knowledge of advanced nursing procedures such as ventilator management, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9). Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medication administration protocols. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities. Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced settings while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care. Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) are required or highly desirable.
