JOB DESCRIPTION
Program Nurse Schedule:
Weekdays, Rotating Weekends Outpatient Detox for a primary diagnosis of substance use disorder. Essential Functions Conduct nursing assessments to evaluate client's physical health status at time of treatment. Obtain medical history, particularly as it relates to the present condition, from the client or concurrent/ previous care providers when applicable. Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to promote team approach to client care, notify staff of any significant health risks or concerns that may impact a client's safety or success in treatment, and help to promote client wellness in recovery. Complete and submit medical progress notes according to program policy. Maintain thorough documentation of all patient interactions as well as any communication with outside or ancillary providers. Ensure proper maintenance of medical records. Abide by laws, regulations and standards of practice regarding Confidentiality and Ethics for the provision of treatment under the scope of license and certification. Monitor physical health, nutrition status, and related behavioral or psychosocial issues that may present during course of treatment. Perform other duties as assigned.
Reports to:
Nurse Practitioner Experience/ Education, Current Tennessee Licensure as a LPN (Minimum), Completion of all training and education requirements necessary to maintain valid, active licensure. Skills/ Competencies Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently in facility and alternate site settings. May need to assume a flexible work schedule. Ability to collaborate with other members of the clinical and medical team to promote comprehensive, quality care for clientsVerbal and written communication. Ethical Decision-Making Ability to work under pressure and respond to patients in crisis.
Additional Requirements:
CPR/first aid certified Criminal background check Pre-employment and random drug screening during employment. Verification of previous employment via professional references. Valid driver's license & Independent, reliable transportation. Completion of continued education and trainings for maintained licensure.
