What you will do Provides specialized knowledge, assessment, and skills in clinical setting in regards to obtaining vascular access, maintaining vascular access, and troubleshooting vascular access devices. Performs patient assessments accurately and thoroughly. Identifies learning needs of patient, family members and associates. Promotes professional practice among all members of the interdisciplinary care team. Participates in performance improvement activities. Education/Formal Training Requirements Required

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred
• Associates Degree Nursing Work Experience Requirements Required
• General nursing or clinical practice 1-3 years Licenses and Certifications Requirements Required

Analytical skills necessary to assess complex patient conditions effectively and to develop comprehensive plans of care. Synthesizes multiple sources of information to assist in the resolution of human responses to complex problems. Supervision Provided by this Position Acts as a consultant to licensed nursing staff in the care and placement of vascular access devices. Physical Demands The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
