Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Exciting nursing opportunity available for an experienced Operating Room RN to join the thoracic/vascular team in a large, advanced surgical setting. This role is essential for supporting a 56-bed OR (inpatient and outpatient) and 5 additional procedural suites within a facility known for its Level 1 trauma care and a diverse, high-acuity patient population.

Schedule/Hours:

12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.) Shifts during the week vary based on unit requirements; block schedules are not available Expectation for late stays to meet the needs of the thoracic/vascular team

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of operating room experience required Specialized thoracic/vascular surgery experience is essential Must be proficient in endovascular cases, able to circulate and scrub Active RN license (Tennessee or compact) and certification must be submitted prior to start Prior travel nursing experience required Ability to care for adult patients (no pediatric cases) Experience with diverse surgical cases including neuro, trauma, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant, robotic, and hybrid procedures

Responsibilities:

Function as a scrub and circulating nurse for advanced thoracic/vascular surgical procedures Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a high-pressure, Level 1 trauma environment Provide skilled nursing support for complex surgical cases, including transplant and trauma/neuro patients Flexibly float within OR units as required Maintain certification, licensure, and required skills throughout the contract This is an ideal position for a skilled OR nurse passionate about thoracic/vascular surgery, eager to work in a dynamic hospital environment with a broad spectrum of cases.
