Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Take the next step in your nursing career by working in a collaborative, high-acuity Med-Surg environment. This opportunity offers valuable experience on a dynamic medical-surgical unit alongside a dedicated ortho/spine subunit. The unit is well-regarded for its outstanding teamwork and commitment to patient care.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract role (duration discussed during interview) At least one weekend shift within each 4-week period (flexible, may be split) Case-by-case blocked scheduling
Qualifications:
Active RN license Current BLS certification (ACLS optional) Minimum 1 year of recent medical-surgical RN experience Exceptional assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills Strong time management, organization, and communication abilities Positive attitude and a collaborative approach
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality nursing care for a range of patients, including general medical-surgical, ortho/spine, trauma, and specialty procedure patients Collaborate with a team of RNs, LPNs, techs, and externs for optimal patient outcomes Utilize advanced equipment such as Alaris pumps, remote telemetry, and wound care devices Document effectively using Meditech Float between units as needed based on staffing requirements Adhere to infection prevention, medication safety, and hospital policies Maintain professional and ethical standards of nursing practice Why consider this role?
