Join a collaborative and well-established hospitalist program at Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital, a 450-bed regional referral center in the heart of the Texas Panhandle. The BSA Hospitalist Group includes 35 board-certified/board-eligible physicians and 8 advanced practice providers managing a daily census of approximately 230-240 patients. This opportunity offers autonomy with strong system support, 24/7 intensivist backup, and a collegial culture known for stability and teamwork.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our nocturnist team handles overnight admissions, ICU and floor cross-coverage, and NP supervision with dedicated support from intensivists and the evening split-shift team.

7-on / 7-off
Team:
2 physicians + 1 NP each night
Primary Duties:
Admissions from ER & direct admits, NP supervision, ICU and floor coverage

Procedures:
Optional - central line and airway skills encouraged but not required; vascular access team handles most lines; RT, ICU, and Anesthesia available for airway support
EMR:
EPIC, with established templates and hospitalist-friendly workflows. Unlike many larger metro programs, our nocturnist physicians typically manage 5-6 new patients per night (range 3-11). Physicians here feel supported, not rushed—and that makes a measurable difference in care quality. Our program is known for its organization and efficiency—from well-defined coverage roles to NP-managed phone triage and seamless patient distribution. It's a system designed to let physicians focus on medicine, not logistics.
